Legal notice & privacy

The short
version.

Data protection is our profession, so this page is written to be understood rather than merely accepted. The contact form is the only site feature through which you actively submit personal data. Our hosting provider necessarily processes technical request data to deliver and protect the site. We use no audience analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers. Your AC:1 AI device does not send us your documents or conversations; that follows directly from its architecture, described in the data flows.

Who publishes this site

Legal notice

Publisher
Neural ICE, a company being incorporated in Switzerland. Until registration is complete, the publishers responsible for this site are its founders — Thomas Kristner, Nuria Unterlohner Salvat and Marie G. Mansour — reachable at the addresses below. The registered name, seat and commercial-register number (CHE) will be published here as soon as they are issued.
Hosting
Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Workers — Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and its EU entity Cloudflare Germany GmbH.
Intellectual property
The Neural ICE name, logo, texts and illustrations on this site are protected. ICE-CoreOS is published under its own open-source licence on GitHub; the licence in that repository governs it, not this page.
Applicable law
Swiss law applies. Where the GDPR applies to a visitor in the European Economic Area, this page describes how we meet it.

Data processed when you send a form

The site provides two contact forms: one to discuss a use case on the homepage and one to request a scoping call on the consulting page. Both send data to our own collection endpoint without using a third-party form service.

What we collect
Your name and work email address (required), and, if you fill them in, your company, company size, reason for contacting us and free-text message. Our server also records the country from which the request is sent, determined by our hosting provider from the IP address, to route commercial follow-up. The IP address is not stored in the contact record. A separate security event records the submission outcome with the IP address, country, network number, user agent, Cloudflare request identifier and email address for abuse prevention; this log is deleted after 90 days.
Why
To answer you, and to prepare a possible commercial relationship. Nothing more: no profiling, no automated decision-making, no advertising, no resale, no enrichment from third-party databases.
Legal basis
Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and, for general enquiries and security logging, our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and protecting the service from abuse (art. 6(1)(f)). Under Swiss law, we process these data in accordance with the principles of transparency, proportionality and purpose limitation.
How long
Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are deleted within 24 months of the last exchange. If a commercial relationship begins, the record is retained for its duration and then for applicable statutory retention periods. Technical security logs are retained for 90 days.
Anti-spam
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot mechanism designed to limit tracking: it sets no advertising cookie and does not follow you across sites. Cloudflare nevertheless analyses technical browser and network signals to detect automated submissions. Submissions are also rate-limited, which involves a short-lived technical counter.
Cookies
This site sets no cookie of its own, and no audience-analytics or advertising cookie. We therefore do not ask you to accept non-essential cookies.

Processors and recipients

Cloudflare
Cloudflare hosts the site, receives and stores the form submission, and provides anti-bot protection. These services involve Cloudflare, Inc. in the United States and Cloudflare Germany GmbH. Cloudflare's data processing agreement provides EU standard contractual clauses for relevant transfers.
Resend
Resend delivers the notification email that tells us about your request. The message content passes through this service before reaching our inbox. Resend is operated by Plus Five Five, Inc. in the United States under a data processing agreement that includes EU standard contractual clauses.
No other commercial recipient
We do not sell, rent or disclose your data to other recipients for commercial purposes. The providers above act only to deliver the services described.

Cloudflare and Resend services involve entities established in the United States. Requests sent through this site may therefore be transferred outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses. Your AI device does not send your documents or conversations to these providers.

Your rights

One email is enough.

Write to privacy@neural-ice.ch. We respond within 30 days and usually much sooner. We will not ask you to prove your identity beyond what is needed to ensure we are speaking to the right person.

Access & portability

See what we hold

Ask for a copy of everything associated with your address. Given the data collected by the form, that is a short email.

Rectification & erasure

Correct it or delete it

Ask us to correct an error or delete the record entirely. We delete it unless a legal obligation requires us to retain certain information.

Objection & restriction

Object to or restrict processing

You may object to processing or ask us to restrict it. If you no longer wish to be contacted, tell us and we will delete the record, subject to any legal retention obligation.

Complaint

Contact a supervisory authority

In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In the EEA, your national supervisory authority. You do not need our permission, and you do not have to write to us first.
